Conference Overview

The 2011 Ohio Stormwater Conference is the fourth annual conference dedicated to advance the knowledge and understanding of comprehensive stormwater management for those dealing in all aspects of planning, design, implementation and regulatory compliance. The conference will provide updates on environmental issues, new technologies, regulatory information and pollution prevention. The 2011 Ohio Stormwater Conference is a great opportunity to strengthen your skills and knowledge in an intensive workshop setting with other colleagues.

The 2011 Conference is the premier event for addressing municipal, industrial, and construction stormwater issues. The Ohio Stormwater Association and the Tinkers Creek Watershed Partners prides itself on offering timely information on critical stormwater issues from the most influential and experienced leaders in the field.

The 2011 Conference will present updates and the latest information regarding stormwater issues including:

Who Should Attend?

The conference has been developed by a planning committee comprised of professionals who deal with stormwater issues on a daily basis including engineers, consultants, watershed organizations, governmental organizations and academia staff. The conference is multi-disciplinary and is designed for all who have a direct stake in stormwater management, non-point source pollution or the modeling of urban water systems. Attendees include: civil and environmental engineers; landscape engineers and architects; aquatic biologists, ecologists, scientists; managers, urban geographers, and policy makers; professionals from municipal and government engineering; public works personnel; consultants; and instructors and researchers at universities and research institutes.

Continuing Education

A Certificate of Attendance will be offered to those individuals who request one on the registration form. This certificate, along with a copy of the agenda, will assist individuals needing to document professional development hours for their technical profession. Past Conferences

The 2010 Conference, held this past June in Sandusky, attracted 439 engineers, scientists, managers, policy makers, elected officials, academia, community officials and others as we look for innovative solutions to common problems relating to stormwater management and finance.

The 2008 Northeast Ohio Stormwater Conference was held in May 2008 in Highland Hills, Ohio. This was the inaugural event for Ohio. This event had 397 attendees, 55 exhibitors and 50 speakers. The 2009 Ohio Stormwater Conference, held May 14th and 15th in Mason, Ohio offered comprehensive information on stormwater management to all that attended. The 2009 Event had an attendance of 437 people who were able to choose between 77 speakers dispersed through multiple session tracks, visit with 57 exhibitors who provided specific stormwater management information as well as technology for stormwater issues, and network among their peers.

The 2011 OH Stormwater Conference is building upon the success of the previous events. A number of organizations, agencies and companies are working collaboratively in presenting the 2011 Conference in Columbus, Ohio. All of these collaborative partners are committed to delivering beneficial information to those who need stormwater and watershed management information. We are all pleased to provide this opportunity to communities and others to gain the knowledge and information necessary to develop a comprehensive stormwater program.
